SPRAY FOAM VS. TRADITIONAL INSULATION

For more than 30 years Demilec has been developing and improving upon its product formulas. As a result, spray foam insulation is now the superior alternative to traditional fiberglass insulation. High air permeability of traditional insulation allows air to easily pass through walls where gaps and seams exist. Differences between interior and exterior temperatures create convection currents in walls and ceilings reducing the thermal performance of traditional insulation.

The benefits of spray foam insulation far outweigh traditional fiberglass insulation.

Cutting Energy Costs through Innovation

In comparison to traditional fiberglass insulation, innovative spray foam insulation dually serves as an energy-efficient solution, while also offering a cost-saving return on your client’s investment. Your clients will save in energy costs as spray foam insulation typically pays for itself within a few years.

Spray foam insulation out-performs traditional fiberglass insulation in every measurable category, and will remain intact and last for the life of the home or building.* Spray foam will continue to efficiently insulate, whereas traditional fiberglass sags and settles, causing it to no longer perform at its original R-value.

In addition to rising costs, many homeowners are also concerned about the environment, and along with other measures are actively taking environmentally-conscious steps to recycle and repurpose.

Heatlok Soya wraps your home in an airtight polyurethane blanket to keep dirt, allergens, and moisture where they belong - outside.

By controlling humidity from entering in the wall assembly, it prevents mold and mildew from forming inside the exterior walls. As a result, your home enjoys superior air quality while you enjoy the savings and benefits that come from knowing that your home will remain a consistent and comfortable temperature.

Heatlok Soya’s ecologically engineered formula uses recycled and renewable materials to meet all of Canada's environmental performance standards. Recycled plastics and renewable resources such as vegetable oils and soy create a premier spray foam insulation that is rated as a Zero Ozone Depletion Substance (Zero ODS).

Heatlok Soya is effective, durable, energy efficient, and exceeds the high quality standards of the National Building Code (NBC) of Canada. Heatlok Soya qualifies in five certification categories for a potential 13 points in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects. At 25mm the product exceeds the NBC’s air barrier material exigencies by more than 500 times. Our closed cell rigid spray foam insulation is setting new industry goals for energy efficiency, overall cost savings and customer satisfaction, while it helps to solve today's environmental challenges.
